The Black Preceptory of Haiti is a magical order of Knights and Dames, working under the authority of the Holy Celtic Order of the Temple. This is an order in the Gnostic Voudon tradition, inspired by Haitian Vodou and also influenced by Western Ceremonial Magic. We have a Statement of Amity (see below) with the Soberano Santuario de la Gnosis Franco-Haitiana - Templo TI ZARIGUIN in Argentina.
Bearing in mind the priority given to the primordial tradition of Atlantis in the written works and channeled teachings of Dion Fortune and her successor, Margaret Lumley Brown, this order is a natural complement to Avalonian Druidcraft, particularly as both systems are fundamentally shamanic and initiatic. Despite the name (inspired by the name of the XI° in this system, "Templier Noir d'Haiti", as well as the "Royal Black Preceptory" ) members of the Black Preceptory of Haiti are firmly dedicated to White Magic.
There are sixteen degrees with an additional four degrees for Le Couleuvre Noire, a side order focussed purely on esoteric Vodou. The main organistaion for Gnostic Voudon, the Ordo Templi Orientis Antiqua (OTOA) was founded by Tao Ogdoade-Orfeo I (Bishop Lucien-Francois Jean-Maine) and further developed by his son, Bishop Hector-Francois Jean-Maine (Tau Ogdoade Orfeo III) from whom we hold lines of apostolic and initiatic succession. According to our initiatic tradition, the Jean-Maine family had a long Masonic/Martinezist association, having originally been slaves on a plantation in Haiti owned by the Martinez de Pasquales, the founder of the Order of Knight-Masons Elect Priests of the Universe (commonly known as "Élus Coëns") . "Modern initiation is an extension of the esoteric patterns established in Atlantis. These initiations are handled by continuously reincarnating spiritual priests who are guides and guardians of the Mysteries, in an unbroken and continuous descent from the Ancient Temples of Atlantis.
We must understand that in the process of consciousness everything is part of a cycle of rebirth and development and that nothing is absolutely new in the world of spiritual law, even though new applications of spiritual law are continually being given to the world by unseen spirits. Therefore we have to recognise what is given to us at the present time, for the energy is simply changing its form and expressing itself in many special ways. The spiritual laws (LOA) follow, remain the same and are always present. The ancient priesthood continues and expresses itself in the present known forms of esoteric and Gnostic churches. But this priesthood must give and present the ancient powers and symbols to those who must contact the Atlantean energy. ....
In this way the ancient priesthood emits certain mystical rays sometimes unknown even to the conscious mind of the priests, but known only at the deepest levels. These rays lead to the centre of power those who have been previously connected with that energy. These magicians bring back to the work those who have been in that work in times past. They return the energies of Atlantean magic to those who have an Atlantean soul within their present bodies. ......
