Ovates of Trinity Grove as well as Priests and Priestesses of Avalonian Druidcraft are encouraged to train in Celtic Reiki with the Archdruid, Tau Blaise, who has been practising and teaching Celtic Reiki for over 20 years. Other students are also welcome.
As with Usui Reiki (the original Japanese energy healing modality) there are three levels of training, but unlike Usui Reiki, which uses a handful of symbols, Celtic Reiki utilises 28 Ogham symbols, corresponding to the energies of 24 trees and plants, plus four extra symbols. In the course of a treatment, the attuned practitioner works intuitively with several symbols according to the need of the client, giving healing either in person or at a distance.
The ceremony of attunement is performed when the candidate has completed his or her study of the Celtic Reiki energies and has connected with each of the trees and other symbols through shamanic journeying or path working. This form of energy healing, though following the general method of modern Reiki, has roots in the ancient tree lore of the Druids. Both training and attunement can be attained online and at a distance, though attunement in person is preferable where possible. For Trinity Grove members the training and attunement is free of charge. For other students a donation of €30 is appreciated. A weekend of training and attunement at Casa del Grial, in the beautiful Cantabrian mountains of north west Spain costs €70 per day including bed and board.
